Foreigners who will study for a two year degree, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral studies in a higher education institution in Turkey can obtain a student residence permit.
Foreigners who will receive primary and secondary school education in Turkey, whose care and expenses are undertaken by a real or legal person, can be granted a student residence permit for one year during their education, with the consent of their parents or legal representatives. The permit can be extended throughout their studentship.
Does the Student Permit Given the Student’s Family a Residence Permit?
The student residence permit does not give the student's parents and other relatives any right to obtain a residence permit.
What is the Duration of the Student Residence Permit?
If the education period is less than one year, the duration of the student residence permit cannot exceed the period of study.

The general documents for student residence permit are:
Application Form
Passport copy (The pages that show the identity information and the page with the photo, as well as the entry-exit and visa information.) (The original must be with you on the day of application)
4 biometric photos (Taken within the last 6 months, the background must be white and biometric.)
Statement that you have sufficient and regular financial means during your stay (It is declared in the Application Form. The Administration may request supporting documents from the applicant.)
Document/receipt showing that the residence card fee has been paid (For those studying at international institutions, embassy and consulate schools, residence permit fee document/receipt is also required.)
Valid health insurance (The insurance period must cover the desired residence permit period)
